Hey, you can’t blame a girl, especially when one of the hottest actors to grace a TV screen just hopped on Quinn for their newest series: Yes, Chef, where a romance blooms between a head chef (Hatosy) and his new sous chef (you!). Didn’t that get your attention too?
What’s Quinn?
“Quinn is a mobile app and website where you can listen to audio erotica. Audio erotica can be a lot of things: spicy audio stories, dirty talk, and more. Quinn audios are designed to help you get there, but they also involve fun and interesting plots.” Quinn
There’s been an earthquake in the female romance genre, and her name’s Quinn. An audio erotica app and website founded by women and delivered in pink headphones to its listeners. Its creator Caroline Spiegel was just 24 years old when she decided she was tired of the male dominated porn industry, and decided to flip the script and create something catered towards women. In a FOX news article from 2022 (when the app started taking off) this is mentioned as another one of her driving factors in creating Quinn:
“The stigma surrounding sexual dysfunction and female masturbation inspired her to strive to create a platform where women can feel comfortable in pursuing sexual pleasure on their own.”
And by God (mine is Shawn Hatosy!) did she do that.
Sooooo how does one listen to these audios…
Glad you asked! For a small price of $7.99 a month, or $4.99 a month (year long subscription) you too could have unlimited access to romantic whispering in your ear! Oh, you don’t know if you’d like it? Good thing they post quickies on their TikTok page! And get your mind out of the gutter – I’m talking about quick snip bits of audio… not the other thing.
Once subscribed, you’re open to a world of your greatest imagination, filled with stories spanning across genres and pandering to all audiences. Quinn doesn’t discriminate against who’s orgasming: there’s gay, lesbian, heterosexual, homosexual, and varying other queer stories for listeners to choose from. These stories are written by the scriptwriters on the Quinn database, then narrated by creators, and finally mixed and cut by sound engineers from their database. These three positions are also all open to the public, anyone can send in their application to Quinn and apply to work for their team!
I mean, WOW, it seems like everyone is getting to the finish line here!
Can we go back to Shawn Hatosy?
I thought you’d never ask.
Following the success of The Pitt, Hatosy has been suddenly thrusted into the spotlight and reborn again as a Hollywood heartthrob. Which, of course, now qualifies him to be one of the latest celebrity guest stars on Quinn. Hatosy now joins the ranks with Andrew Scott, Jamie Campbell Bower, Tom Blyth, and Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams (Of course I have linked all of their episodes! You’re welcome!) who have all recorded audios for Quinn.
Hatosy’s story, “Yes, Chef” came out with its first episode on April 21st and has its second premiering tonight, April 23rd. The story is described as “After a viral review puts his restaurant’s legacy on the line, Grant Reilly is forced to contend with Iris Adams, the ambitious new sous chef at North & Vine.” and don’t worry, the listener plays the part as Iris. Phew.
Lemme get my headphones!
Hold your horses! Quinn isn’t the first company to cater towards the female sexual experience, and hopefully it won’t be the last, but it is changing the game. With its popularity growing day by day, and its ability to bring in Hollywood stars, Quinn is normalizing female erotica and expanding the romance genre. It’s also creating an open space for women to learn more about themselves through its complimentary blog which covers topics of wellness, relationships, culture, and sex (duh).
Quinn offers an escape for women, men, and anyone who are unsatisfied or looking to try something new in their sex lives, that is nonjudgemental and sex positive. Sex has been a taboo topic for far too long, especially when talking about female masturbation. Because it’s about damn time someone broke the barrier.
