I love being a woman, pop culture, a good hot take, and conversations that make me look at something completely differently. I’ve always considered myself a feminist, but I know there’s still a lot for me to learn! Women’s safety is especially important to me because of certain experiences I’ve had, and it’s something I hope to talk about more in my posts. I definitely don’t expect to have the perfect take every time, but I’m excited to share my thoughts and see where this semester takes me!

Hello, feminist community! I am a senior at James Madison University, majoring in English Studies. When not conquering my college workload, I can be found reading. At midnight, I represent the typical bookroom who prefers another chapter to sleep. Some of my favorite authors include Veronica Roth, Laura Nowlin, and Penelope Douglas. On a perfect day, whether rain or shine, I envision lounging comfortably in matching pajamas with a cozy blanket, preferably with coffee or tea on the side, while invested in a romance book. In the near future, I aspire to write literature worthy of global publication.

Although I always say I need to save money, you can catch me in the plant aisle of every store. I am always down for last-minute adventures, even if that means simply going to get ice cream or hiking up a mountain. I appreciate the little joys in life, such as seeing my dog, and I try to keep a positive attitude at all times.

I adore anything and everything “hot cheese,” which also fuels my unhealthy Taco Bell addiction (sorry, not sorry)!! I’m a senior media arts and design major at JMU, and I’m so excited to be part of ShoutOut! JMU this semester. I’m quite opinionated and love debating hot topics, especially feminist-related issues. When I’m not eating Taco Bell, I’m binge-watching New Girl and Good Mythical Morning, singing karaoke with friends, or planning my dream European life in London!
