Back and Better Than Ever!!

It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for us and we are feeling good!! Welcome back to another exciting semester of ShoutOut!

2020 was a year of trials and tribulations but thankfully we made it through. Even though things are finally starting to look up and we have a whole new year ahead of us, ShoutOut! will still have plenty of things to blog about this semester. If I were you I’d buckle up because our Spring 2021 ShoutOut! Bloggers are kicking a$$ and taking names. You all are in for quite a wild ride and now it’s time to meet the bloggers who will be navigating our journey…

@easybakeoven411: Although I’ve long identified myself as a feminist, I am new to the exploration of thoroughly educating myself on this movement that is so important to both me and the world. Whether it’s a batch of chocolate brownies or kosher salted pretzels, all you need is just one tiny light bulb. Let’s get cooking!

@theepu$$yfairy: As an ode to the celestial queen Jhene Aiko and THEE Hot girl Megan Thee Stallion, the pu$$yfairy’s content focuses on healing, balancing our chakras, and tapping into that divine feminine energy. With a large focus on black womanhood, theepu$$yfairy will explore the various meanings of blackness through the feminist and womanist lens. Join theepu$$yfairy as she navigates through society as a vivacious intersectional being and shares her reflections on this topsy turvy thing called “life.”

@HotGirlSza: I am a Sophomore SCOM/PR major who enjoys binging Parks and Rec and New Girl and blasting any song by SZA or Megan Thee Stallion on repeat.

@whoresbreakingdowndoors: Here for a good time not a long time…and to talk about all the things that run through my brain at 2 in the morning when I should most definitely be sleeping.

@ZestyGal: As someone who is very passionate about social advocacy, I am more than excited to write on this platform about my unique experiences in a male-dominated atmosphere. I am looking forward to learning more about the world of feminism through others’ discussions and even my own writing.

@anewbrandofbadbitch: big dog person, kind of obsessed with online shopping, and a mac n cheese lover

@alphabetswoop: Forever student of too many things to count. Perpetually exhausted. Truth seeker. I am entirely too passionate for my own good.

@SugarAndSpiceAndNotNice: Hello my Bootyfull Humans, my name is SugarAndSpiceAndNotNice and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I am a Mexican-Bolivian-American Cis Feminist trying to find myself through written expression and creativity. I am a beauty and a beast who wants to help others feel seen and loved! My goal is to grow as a person through learning and creating posts for you all and to hopefully shine light onto our world’s hidden or not so hidden cracks. I’m ready to leave my footprint covered in dirt, glitter, glass, and paint all over shoutout jmu!

@mysticalfemme: A queer, femme, communications major seeking to empower other women through being an empowered woman herself. I love talking about sex and sexuality, so please – talk dirty to me.

@FeministBaby: Hi! I am a political science major with a minor in women’s gender and sexuality studies. This isn’t my first experience blogging, but it will be the first time I post a blog for the public to see. I hope to be able to articulate the topics I’m passionate about in a way that ignites change or emotion in my readers or fellow classmates. I hope to not only provide a new lens on certain topics, but to learn from others as well. 🙂

@Estro-Jen: Hormonal gal here! Gonna pour all my emotions into fighting for intersectional feminism and equality. Named after a kick-ass roller derby gal, I plan to skate in here and Shout Out!

@ButterFaceBaby: Brought to you by millions of years of evolution and a sprinkle of internalized misogyny: Sister. Virginian. First time blogger. Apprentice to life in general. Likely going to hell on a scholarship.  Closeted introvert. Truth seeker. Bullshit sniffer. Impulse consumer. Professional broke bitch. Amateur feminist. Bad vegan. Coffee black. Need I say more?

@QueenWomanist: Hey! I am a senior double minoring in African, African American Diaspora and Women’s, Gender & Sexuality and I’m majoring in a fine art. How do these disciples correlate? I identify as a black cisgender woman trying to survive and thrive in a country who devalues me and is killing too many black lives so I can do what I want and learn what I want. So I wanted to learn about by identity and how oppressed we are, then I’m going to be successful and rub it in the oppressor’s face, that’s the goal and so far I’m doing pretty good at it.

@itsjrenee: Welcome to the Real Deal with itsjrenee. On this blog I will keep you up to date on the latest controversial topics, and pop culture gossip. Consider this your entry to my personal diary, filled with nothing but my thoughts, opinions uncut and raw. Before we dive in get to know me… I’m an October Scorpio, I love everything fashion and drama so consider me your boujee sista. I am a black queen radiating in #blackgirlmagic, and on this journey you will realize I have a lot to say. Welcome to my team sis.

@leo0810: I am a 20 year old Junior who makes avocado pudding for breakfast after doing yoga. I love scheduling out my day around doing homework, working out, studying for the LSATs, and spending time with friends. I love my routine but I also love my spontaneous and down-for-anything side. I am nature loving and love to go on long walks. I like adrenaline pumps, I love rollercoasters. I have a shopping addiction that I am recovering from. My family is Persian and I love them more than anything. I am a friendly, outgoing, caring person.

@alilacrose: A safe space for women.

@champagneproblems1989: Hello Reader! Welcome to my blog posts and please, stay awhile! Here, we will be discussing a variety of topics from the viewpoint of a James Madison University senior. A little bit about me, I am a 22-year-old female who is eager to share with you some of my views and opinions. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, watching scary movies, listening to Taylor Swift, and baking! I am always open to constructive feedback and new ideas. Thank you for reading, I appreciate your time and think of my readers as new friends!

@WaterlilyLilypad: Looking to find a voice in a time where it’s not enough to just be a woman, or to be a woman of color. Sometimes it is hard to find a safe place when you’re a minority, and then a minority within the minority.

@girlsroom_xo: Welcome to my blog! My blog will encapsulate the latest news and societal trends of 2021. A little about me, I am a 22-year-old woman and I live in New Jersey. I am a senior undergraduate at James Madison University and majoring in communications with a generalist concentration. I have a passion for reading, writing, cosmetics, beauty care, yoga, traveling etc. The mission for my blog is to inform readers of newsworthy topics and inspire others to make a change. As a newbie on the blog, I am excited to dive into such matters and learn along the way!
