Call for performers:
Did you know that JMU’s oldest and only Feminist Blog is turning 10? ShoutOut JMU is ringing in a decade of student activism in the digital sphere, and we need your voice to help us celebrate this radical accomplishment. We are once again seeking out performers to join us for our annual V-DAY Event to take place on Wednesday, MARCH 4TH from 7-9 PM, to raise awareness and bring an end to violence against women, femmes, and non-binary folx.
We welcome you to perform any monologue from Eve Ensler’s collection, your own original poetry / prose, or another relevant piece from a like-minded author/artist! We especially encourage the representation of voices that have not been represented by performances like The Vagina Monologues historically. No performance background is required – we’d just love for you to join us as we MARCH FORTH into the next decade of student activism at JMU.
