  1. I really appreciate this post, I know it must of been hard for this person to put their feelings out there. Its sad but I often find myself not thinking about sexual assault in same sex relationships, but it is real and this testimony proves it. I cannot believe that the friends ever had doubt, I feel like when someone tells they have been raped, as a friend you should listen, SHAME ON THEM! I hope that more people will do research into this and I know that this story brings more attention to it which will definitely help with awareness.

  2. I’m afraid I agree with Bestlittlelion92 in that I don’t always associate sexual assault with same-sex relationships. But as she also said, this most definitely proves it occurs in more instances than we assume. Maybe people think that because it is between two individuals of the same sex and somehow believe they can not provoked or forced, which is completely closed minded. However, I am thankful you have told your stories because now I recognize and many others will, that sexual assault happens between ANY individuals, whether heterosexual, bisexual or homosexual. Sexual assault knows no boundaries.
