Kate found this post, where an editor from Feministing is sharing her story about her past being a dancer and dealing with her negative perceptions dancers bodies. It was great to hear someone step up and say they have participated in talking about negative things about their and others bodies but trying to change that for not only herself but show by example for other dancers.

She never really thought about gender issues regarding public places, but this idea of the changing table only in the women’s restrooms not only limits father’s from changing their children, but also assumes the the women will automatically be the ones changing and caring for the child as well.
