Made in Adobe Photoshop.

Photoshop is a software application developed and published by Adobe Systems for photo editing and graphics design. It is widely used in many industries, such as advertising, fashion, and media, to alter and enhance images and create digital graphics. Photoshop offers a wide range of tools for image manipulation, such as resizing, retouching, and color correction. However, the overuse of these tools in the media to create unrealistic beauty standards can have negative impacts on individuals and society.

A person’s body can be fully altered using Photoshop to become someone else entirely. A lack of self-confidence can result in anxiety, low self-esteem, and, occasionally, depression. Thanks to unrealistic manipulated photographs, young girls are learning that they must appear in a specific way to fit into society standards.

Photoshop can be detrimental to young girls because it promotes unrealistic beauty standards that are not attainable in real life. Seeing heavily altered images of models and celebrities can lead to body dissatisfaction and negative body image. This can result in eating disorders, anxiety, and depression, particularly in young girls who are still developing their sense of self and identity. Young girls are often exposed to heavily photoshopped images of models and celebrities in the media, which can lead them to believe that they must look a certain way in order to be considered attractive or successful. Photoshop can lead to a distorted sense of self and body image. It is important to promote a more diverse and realistic representation of beauty, and to help young girls develop a positive self-image and healthy body image.

At a young age, young girls don’t know or understand that not everyone has the same body type or facial structure. I struggled with this when I was 15, i was doing some modeling andIi was confused as to why when i saw the photos (that were heavily edited) they didn’t look like me, i was skinner, smaller, my forehead didn’t have pimples, my teeth were sparkling, my arms were so small. My mom made sure I understood that the industry edits everyones photos and there was nothing wrong with me at all. I am forever grateful I learned that lesson so early on because I know a lot of girls who compared themselves to models or social media influencers. “Why can’t I look like that’ “why aren’t my boobs that big “”her waist is so small”. They didn’t know they were comparing themselves to someone who isn’t real. Someone who was made in Adobe Photoshop.

The Kardashians are a famous American family, best known for their reality TV show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” They have also gained popularity and become prominent figures in the entertainment industry, fashion, and beauty. Some members of the Kardashian family are known for their highly publicized personal lives, as well as their businesses and entrepreneurial ventures. The Kardashians have also been criticized for their highly photoshopped images and the promotion of unrealistic beauty standards in the media. In the left photo is what Khole looks like in real life a unedited red carpet photo and on right is a heavily edited photo of Khloe. She looks beautiful in both, but it is important to know that most things you see on social media aren’t the real deal and no one should ever compare themselves to people online.

There has been a movement on the uprising called anti-photoshop. Anti-photoshop refers to the movement against the overuse of photoshop in the media and advertising, and the promotion of unrealistic beauty standards. The anti-photoshop movement advocates for a more diverse and realistic representation of beauty, and seeks to raise awareness about the negative impacts of heavily retouched images on individuals, particularly young people. It is important to promote self-acceptance and body positivity. Some media outlets and organizations have responded by implementing policies that limit the use of photoshop in their content or promoting unretouched images.

Overall, It is crucial for the media to promote a more diverse and realistic representation of beauty, and for individuals to recognize the limitations of photoshopped images and appreciate their own unique qualities and characteristics.
