I had the chance to talk to recording artist Kevin Drew on a conference call. He just released a new album this past Tuesday called “Darlings”. The reason I am writing about his new album is because the single from it “Good Sex” paints sex in a more realistic and positive way than we are used to seeing in music videos and I got to hear him talk a little about it!
One of the coolest things I learned about the video is that all of the couples seen are actually real couples. Kevin Drew talked a lot about his music being a raw, real, and honest experience. He explained how he wants to share moments with listeners and you can see those intimate moments in this music video. He spoke a little bit about the porn industry and how we have become obsessed with instant gratification. This song and video highlight sex in consensual, sensual, and real way.
