Hello, everyone! I hope you all are doing well and keeping safe during these times. I thought I’d share a few experiences, opinions, and maybe a little rant while I’m here.
Having this extra week of no school is the best, and I’m sure other people are feeling the same way. After this week, we are going to have to figure many things out. There are some questions and feelings that are up in the air right now because we don’t know what will happen next, especially concerns regarding school.
The virus is causing everyone to hoard all the toilet paper, paper towels, and other essential items. Everyone is trying to save themselves, and they are forgetting about older people who can’t run to the store whenever; and when they do get there, everything is gone because other people think it’s the end of the world. People are buying multiples of everything, or buying all the toilet paper and selling it at ridiculous prices to make a profit.
The stores have no cleaning supplies, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and now no pads. I went to Target the other day because I was about to start my menstrual cycle, and as I passed by the empty shelves, the thought of Target having no pads didn’t cross my mind because what are pads going to do to prevent getting sick? And just like the cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and hand sanitizer, the shelves were empty. Again, what are people going to do with pads other than use for its intended purpose? Stick it to their faces?

The world is not ending; you just have to be diligent about being clean and practicing good hygiene. You can practice this by washing your hands before and after every meal and when going out. When you make a mess, clean it up! Since we are going through difficult times, we have to take things one at a time, and before you know it, we will come out stronger than before.
What are people doing with these pads, sticking them to their faces?! This made me cackle. Thanks for bringing some lightness to the panic mentality prevailing right now!

It’s so interesting seeing the mass panic around this. Obviously I am scared, but I am not taking the rest of the pads! thank you for sharing your thoughts

It makes me so mad that people are hoarding these items like pads! These are necessities and no one person needs to hog 20 packs of pads!
