The negative commentary is not just harmful to Gaga, who has discussed her problems with bulemia in high school, but girls everywhere who struggle with body image. Vogue also gets a fail this week for using photoshop to shrink Gaga’s waist to inhuman proportions for their cover photo.
Visionsofourfuture wants to remind everyone that “everyone comes at feminism from their own personal experiences, but if you ever need a reminder of the people we’re fighting for this is a great blog for reminding you of the universal cause.”
Jgrand50 enjoyed this article explaining that “The mayor of a Rhode Island city that ended father-daughter dances and mother-son ballgames because of the state’s gender discrimination law is calling the move an attack on time-honored traditions.”
A serious win for gender equality and a show of progressive thinking by Rhode Island city schools. Still, some believe the choice is an overeaction. Perhaps future events will encourage families while remaining gender neutral.

Women have more power than ever before but yet top positions in business still tend to be led by men and women, no matter how hard they work, cannot break the glass ceiling to the top tiers of leadership.
