Quick Hit: Amy Andre on “Bisexual Health Disparities” Tonight!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to post a quick reminder that Amy Andre will be speaking at JMU tonight on bisexual health disparities as a feminist issue. The event is in Miller 1101 at 7 p.m. and it’s going to be fantastic. Here’s some more information about Andre and the talk tonight:

Because most people who identify as bisexual are women, and because bisexual people have poorer health and higher rates of domestic violence victimization than people of other sexual orientations, Amy Andre sees bisexual health and biphobia as women’s issues – and feminist imperatives. A bisexual biracial African American Jew, Andre explores the intersections and margins of race, gender, and sexuality, in her work as an author and public speaker.
