” Pookie is looking absolutely fire tonight”. If you’re on my side of TikTok, this trending quote has been used by many influencers and creators over the past few months due to the rising popularity of husband and wife Campbell, aka Pookie, and Jett Puckett. The couple has been making content on social media documenting their marriage for years, but recently in January of 2024 their videos on TikTok started to go viral. Campbell started to post “ootd” videos showing off her lavish date night outfits where Jett would frequently chime in calling her “pookie” and complimenting her appearance in very enduring way’s. The internet instantly fell in love and many people were commenting on Campbell’s videos giving her more popularity, recreating the trend with their significant others, and gushing over the “perfect” relationship her and Jett shared. But nothing is really perfect is it? Just like the rise of most famous influencers, the media started digging only to find out there were some pretty controversial things going on under the surface of this marriage. So the question now stands, who really is Pookie and Jett?
Relationship Background
The happy couple met in March of 2015 while Campbell was working as a flight attendant and Jett was a grad student. Campbell graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelors degree in marketing and Jett graduated as valedictorian from the University of Georgia with a bachelors degree in economics and political science then continued his education at the University of Pennsylvania earning a master’s degree in business administration degree and a Juris Doctor degree. About their meeting, the couple posted a TikTok on January 11th of this year where Jett explains “I walked up to the prettiest girl at a wine bar in Philadelphia, just started talking to her. Two days later, we were inseparable”. Then, just ten months later the couple was engaged on April 14th of 2018 and have been madly in love since then.
What Is Pookie Hiding?
In February of this year, some old pictures of Pookie in her college days resurfaced due to the insensitive nature of the images. One of the photos circulating the internet was a picture of Campbell posing in front of a Confederate flag and another series posted to Reddit showed Campbell in an outfit resembling a pre-Civil-War-era costume while attending an “Old South” themed sorority event. The photos sparked lots of hate for the influencer accusing her of being a racist and supporting slavery. As the claims surrounding Campbell started to get more serious and threatening, the influencer posted on her Instagram addressing the subject and taking full responsibility for her actions. Campbell responded by saying, “At the time these photos were taken, I was 20. I didn’t fully understand the impact of my actions the way I do now, 12 years later. I fully apologize for the harm this may have caused for some and take full responsibility” . Although Pookie did respond to the allegations against her, it still left the public wondering what else this perfect couple was hiding under the surface.
rumors of the prenup
Around the same time that Campbell and Jett were dealing with past racist allegations, it also came to surface by a “close friend” on reddit that there were rules for Campbell while in her marriage. The anonymous user claimed that in order for Campbell to be married to Jett, she had to get a boob job, maintain a thin physique and wear tight clothing. Apparently this is even stated in their prenup. The user then goes on to claim that they are an “ex best friend” of Campbell and can prove this 1000%. Jett is a very successful and wealthy man who is friends with lots of well known plastic surgeons in Las Angeles, so this easily could be true. Campbell has opened up online about getting previous work done but has never said anything in relation to the rumors of Jett being in charge of her cosmetic procedures. Whether or not the rumors of the prenup are true, the couple did sign a prenup before their marriage. Several creators believe that all of the work that Pookie has had done is a gift to her from Jett instead of it being something that was forced on her. Without the couple coming out and addressing these claims, there is truly no way to know what is real and what has been made up by the internet.
Conclusion
With just a small bit of investigating and research, it is easy to tell that Pookie and Jett don’t have this seemingly perfect marriage. Like everyone, both individuals have flawed pasts but when you’re putting your whole life on the internet for anyone to see, you have to be able to expect some backlash. On the surface it might seem normal, but if you dive a little deeper you can see the true flaws in the relationship. This is a prime example of why you should always do your research and investigate into topics that interest you or maybe even not interested in. This way you can be fully educated from all sides of a situation. One thing we can’t argue with however, is that Pookie is looking absolutely fire.
