This Thursday, Shout Out! JMU will be hosting a benefit reading of A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant, and A Prayer: Writings to Stop Violence Against Women and Girls. Similar to The Vagina Monologues, this reading shares the experiences of women and men from around the world, and engages us all in the conversation about gender based violence.
All readings will be performed by JMU students and faculty, and we hope to engage the audience in an eye-opening performance that sheds light on the experiences of people from around the world. The event will take place at 7pm in Burruss 44, we will be accepting $3 donations at the door. All donations will benefit The Collins Center in Harrisonburg, VA.
