Kearl is a national expert on street harassment and author of Stop Street Harassment: Making Public Places Safe and Welcoming for Women. She is based in the Washington D.C. area and has written for numerous feminist publications. Currently she works full time for a non-profit organization known as AAUW, which works to address issues surrounding sexual harassment and workplace discrimination.
