UPDATES ON UPDATES & Posts Spotlights

Shout Out! has been flourishing this semester. We hope that you have enjoyed our posts on everything feminist. Also, we hope you love the news updates we added to the blog as well. We wanted to make Shout Out a place for news and updates along with feminist discourse.

Also, a BIG thank you to everyone that attended and performed  in our V-Day event. We raised a great amount for New Directions and look forward to collaborating in the future. The event was close to our hearts because of the importance of the issue of violence against women and girls.

Now, I know you are wondering….What’s next for Shout Out?!

It is that time of year again! Shout Out is headed to the National Young Feminist Leadership Conference again this weekend. NYFLC is literally a gathering for feminists alike and it sparks more and more creativity in us.Look out for live tweets with the hashtag #NYFLC2016!

Also, I would like to give a HUGE shoutout (get it shoutout, no? okay) to the bloggers all of their help with the V-Day event and their posts this semester. They have really brought a new voice to the blog. Like ProChoicePrincess and their innovative way of discussing reproductive rights in a refreshing way. Their post on pro-choice movies for valentines day was a hit. Femfarts encounters religion and feminism in a way that we have never encountered. Wannabeaudre is a class act with great knowledge and commentary on all things. This week Southernantibelle gets personal with their story on how they became a feminist. Lucilleontheball is witty and bring a dash of comedy to their posts. I cannot forget

We hope our readers have a fabulous break and engage in feminist topics! Follow us on twitter & Facebook under @ShoutOutJMU!

In solidarity,
